What must employers do?

Employers request a Labour Market Opinion from Service Canada. In order to receive a positive opinion, employers must demonstrate that they meet all the criteria listed below. Employers are also responsible for informing the foreign worker of the results of the Labour Market Opinion.

How do you hire Foreign Workers and how long does it take?

The LMO processing time could be as short as couple of weeks with the Expedited Labour Market Opinion E-LMO in BC and Alberta, 4 to 5 weeks in Ontario or within 22 weeks for occupations that are not listed under the (E-LMO)
